Paquet Family Farm: Homesteading & Returning to The Simple Things in Life

Today, I’m chatting with a very special guest and she’s also family!  My cousin Abby Paquet is joining me today to share about her family’s life and the changes they’ve made over the last few years to get back to a simpler way of life.  Abby is a mom to two beautiful boys, wife to her high school sweetheart, registered nurse, photographer, Believer, and most recently, homesteader.  Abby has many passions including knitting, homemaking, cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, and caring for their dogs and chickens.  She loves being outdoors with her family as much as possible and values being a lifelong learner and trying new things.

 

A few of the topics we discussed:

*Homesteading

*Bringing back old traditions 

*Baking sourdough bread, dinners around the table, spending their days outdoors, learning to garden, learning how to build, canning, candle making, & sewing.

*Including their kids in the process of learning (gardening, caring for animals, building, cooking, sewing, etc.)

*Trusting God’s plan in feeling called to be home with the boys in this season (stay at home mom for 2 years now)
